The GEF in charge of supporting the transfer of technologies programme

WASHINGTON DC, December 15, 2008 - The Conference of the Parties has welcomed the GEF strategic programme on technology transfer as a step towards scaling up the level of investment in technology transfer and has requested the GEF to consider the long-term implementation of the strategic programme.

GEF SGP Project in Pakistan receives $2.8 million of co-financing

On November 24, 2008, the GEF SGP Pakistan signed a cost-sharing agreement with the Government of Sindh for co-financing of $2.8 million. This partnership is to replicate GEF SGP Pakistan’s energy efficient earth-quake resistant low-cost model house “Benazir”.
